Our Story

A Business Born From Creative Ashes

Phoenix Foundry is the brainchild of Jud Grubbs and Peter Winklemann. Peter and Jud became friends on their production “The Roll Players”, a live action improve YouTube series. After the series ended, the two decided to join forces and start their own production company.

Company Values

Art

We are artists. Here to make art, not derivative product. We constantly challenge ourself to tell unique stories – to define the market, not follow it.

Respect

A cornerstone of our successful partnership, and by extension all those we work with, is to respect every person we come in contact with at the company. We tolerate no bigotry of any kind. More than that, we practice patience, empathy and good communication practices.

Innovate

We push the boundaries on the stories we tell. Stretching to find inspiration in the unlikeliest of places, and crafting tales with unique structures.

Persevere

Hollywood is not an idle battleground. It’s a tough city to produce any content. Our slogan from day one has always been “He Conquers Who Endures”. Thanks, Persius.

Fun

We work in the best industry in the world. We love what we do and we have a blast doing it.

Creative

Diverse and complimentary creative forces drive content at Phoenix Foundry.

Working

From theatre to film productions, Phoenix Foundry is always busy.

Join the Team

We are always looking for incredible humans to bring onto the team. If you are a driven, creative, and good person send your CV to us for review.

We also work with academic institutions to support paid and accredited internships in entertainment. Email us for more information.

Development

We are currently seeking a development executive with studio feature film experience. Must have overseen development through release of a $20M and up production.

Creative Director

A new position, the Creative Director will oversee and manage all non-film projects, including 3D design, gaming accessories, and gaming modules. Experience with TTRPGs, ZBrush, Blender, and FDM 3D printing are essential.

Animation Coordinator

We find ourselves with several feature animation projects, several of which are adaptations from source material. We are looking for an individual to oversee creative development and liaise with animation houses and the production team. This is a new position and specific duties will be created with the input of the new employee.
